8/12/2008 LIVE MUSIC HITS TEMPE MARKETPLACELive music hits Tempe Marketplaceby Nicki Escudero - Mar. 19, 2008 11:00 AM The Arizona Republic Local and national music acts come together on one stage every month when Third Thursday goes down at Tempe Marketplace. The free concert is now in its seventh month and features both all-ages and 18-and-older shows. The event is a partnership between Tempe Marketplace and KEDJ-FM (103.9) and aims to bring more ASU students, commuters and young professionals to the shopping and dining center as well as strengthen the music community. So far, headliners such as Unwritten Law, Shiny Toy Guns and Rogue Wave have performed with local bands like Good with Grenades and Violet Wild. This month's show, which begins at 7 Thursday, features alternative rock band The Presidents of the United States of America as headliners and local act Austin Gibbs & The States. |
